👥 Jurors & Judge

Please take a moment to get to know our jurors and judge of awards and consider following them on social media to stay updated on their workshops, activities, and artistic journeys.

Jurors of Entry

We have assembled a panel of two jurors who will be responsible for making the final selection of artworks:

Christine Debrosky

Christine Debrosky, an American Impressionist, discovered her passion for art through early encouragement and immersion in New York's vibrant art scene. Her deep connection with nature led her to explore the interplay of light and landscape, particularly in the high desert of Arizona. With a career spanning diverse mediums, including pastel and oil, Christine's artwork has received acclaim worldwide, earning her prestigious accolades and invitations to share her expertise at international events. Residing near Sedona, Arizona, she continues to draw inspiration from the breathtaking surroundings, enriching her artistic journey and sharing her wealth of experience through extensive teaching and workshops.

Gabor Svagric

Gábor Svagrik, born in Szeged, Hungary, emigrated to the U.S. and studied at the American Academy of Art in Chicago under Irving Shapiro. Influenced by masters like Daniel Garber and Edgar Payne, Svagrik now resides in Arizona, where he focuses on painting and art education. As the founder of Tucson Art Academy Online and co-founder of Sojourn Fine Art, he has significantly impacted the art community. Svagrik also collaborates on Easel Insight, an online platform for art students. Guided by the philosophy that “one must learn the craft to create art,” he draws inspiration from nature’s enduring beauty, shaping his artistic journey and educational contributions.

Judge of Awards

The awards for our Arizona Around the Clock exhibition will be determined by our esteemed judge:

Cindy Carrillo

Cindy Carrillo, a versatile artist specializing in oil, watercolor, gouache, and mixed media, has gained recognition for her work featured in Southwest galleries and publications like Southwest Art Magazine. With a wealth of awards from esteemed juried events and a background in fine arts from Arizona State University, she brings a rich artistic perspective as a Signature Member of Plein Air Painters of Colorado and Founding Member of Arizona Plein Air Painters. Cindy's approach to art emphasizes capturing the essence of landscapes through plein air painting, inviting viewers to share in her vivid memories and unique interpretations of nature's beauty.
