Artist of the Month Competition

ARTIST OF THE MONTH COMPETITION

If you'd like to participate in the ARTIST OF THE MONTH, please, bring one plein air painting, (framed and ready to hang), to enter each month. Your fellow artists will vote, confidentially, during the meeting for their favorite. The winner will receive a ribbon, a $25 cash prize, and be entered into the Artist of the Year Competition. Artist of the Year will be awarded at our Members Show and will receive a larger cash prize. We will feature Artists of the Month and Year on our website. This will be a short year, with the competition starting in October, but next year the competition will start in May and will run from May to May.

CRITIQUE:

Need a little help with a plein air or landscape painting? Bring it in for critique! We will have one or two "official" critiquers with possibly a little help from the audience. I know critiques can be scary, but they can also lead to great growth. Sometimes, we just don't know what we don't know and a fresh set of eyes can make all the difference in our work.

Light refreshments will be served.
