Meet at small green park area just north of the old flour mill, at the SE corner of Rio Salado and Mill Ave. Intrepid painters may proceed up the (steep!) climb to "A" Mountain—there’s a couple of excellent viewing areas halfway up the butte, with late afternoon/evening views over downtown Tempe. Or you can wander off to paint Tempe Town Lake, or Mill Ave.
Closest restrooms and free parking are in Tempe Beach Park. Closest paid parking is in the parking on the NE corner of Rio Salado & Mill. Or you can take the trolley or the light rail.
Please note: there will be airplanes constantly overhead. The mill is directly under the final approach to PHX airport.
