APAP 4 th Saturday Paint Out at Picketpost Mountain Trailhead hosted by Valerie Done

I will be there at 1:00 in the afternoon. I will station myself at the corals near the entrance to the park.

Directions: Take US 60 past Apache Junction towards Superior. Between mile marker 221 and 222 there is a right hand turnoff which is Forest Road 231. (This turnoff is before the turnoff to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum.) On Forest Road 231 you will first notice some corals on your left. I will have my white Jeep parked there since I will be painting down the hill from the corals. To get to the trailhead and bathrooms drive 0.3 miles from the turn off, and at the fork in the road turn left on Forest Road 310. Drive for 0.7 miles to reach the trailhead parking lot.

Description: There are excellent views from the parking lot as well as rugged trails in the area. The coral area goes down a slope into a wash.

Be sure to bring water and snacks! There will be a critique around 3:00 or so.
